In the rhythm of the needles there is music for the soul
Take one skein of SOCKS THAT ROCK in the Farmhouse colorway. Divide it into two balls each weighing 2.8 oz. And what do you have?
Widdershins! A new technique to learn. Toe-up Socks.
This is how I will be celebrating Lolly’s SOCKTOBERFEST. How will you celebrate it?
Love that colorway. I’m going to have to check out STR. Heard lots of good things about it.
Those colors are gorgeous. I think I temporarily lost my mind as there are a few balls of 6 ply Opal winging their way to me!
And the next challenge for you after learning toe up could be toe up simultaneously on two circular needles a la Queen Kahuna style! (NAYY) http://queenkahuna-creations.com/
You’ll enjoy toe up, since one can knit until the yarn runs out, and not have to introduce other colors in the foot, toe or heel to finish the socks! And I agree with you – I love slip stitch heels! Have fun!
I agree with all the others – that color is phenomenal!
Love the colors in that yarn. I don’t know that I’m ready to learn sock knitting a new way. The way Monica taught me is working so well.
Hi Rebecca,
I just finished a pair of socks in this colorway–very sophisticated!

Great choice! I am going to finish my 2-at-once toe-ups for DH. Then move on to socks for me 🙂 using STR or my own handpainted yarn.
