Simpich Character Dolls

My mother is a “collector” and several years ago, while visiting us when we lived in Colorado Springs, I took her to the Simpich Character Dolls store. These character dolls are amazing. Their facial features are very intricate. The Simpich family has run this store, employing many artists, for many years and have recently made the decision to retire and the store will be closing. Of course, that makes these very expensive dolls all the more valuable. Most of the character dolls are book characters but these are just a Thanksgiving theme. I talked her into these since I have a great love of Early American History.

I love the features on each doll! Which one do you like the best?

  1. Thoes dolls are neat! I don’t think I’ve ever seen them. Look at the “father” of the family…holding a dead turkey by its neck – eewww, LOL.

  2. The second pilgrim girl is so pretty (the one with the book) her face is so innocent looking and full of hope.

  3. Where in Colo Sprgs was the shop? I don’t remember it, although it has been years since we lived there. I like the American Indian man. His nose reminds me of my grandfather, who was indeed an American Indian.. 🙂
