Hogwarts Sock Swap TWO is just around the corner and will be even more fun than the first round! I’m busy working on the new blogsite and graduating ‘First Years’ to ‘Second Years’. On July 14th the sign-ups open to the Muggle world and we will be admitting a new ‘First Year’ class.
The First Years will be knitting House Socks for their Hogwart Pal in the colors of their pal’s House (Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw). They will, of course, be sorted into their houses by taking one of the Sorting Hat Quizzes on the blog site before the fun even begins. Then, their name will be put into the Harry Potter Name Generator and out will come a unique HP name just for them! This is the name they will use throughout the swap. The package they send their pal will not only include the House Socks, but also new knitting needles and House stitch markers (also in ‘House’ colors).
Second Years are those who have participated in the first round of the swap. They will also be knitting socks for their pal in their pal’s House colors. In addition to socks, they will include YARN, a sock pattern and a Harry Potter bookmark.
We will be having friendly House competitions and the points will be flying! If this sounds like fun to YOU and you don’t quite fit into the Muggle world, then come sign-up on July 14th.
