In the rhythm of the needles there is music for the soul
On the twelvth day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me -Twelve drummers drumming,
Eleven pipers piping,
Ten lords a-leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
And the last day of working on UFOs has arrived! I’m happy to have participated in the Twelve Days of UFOs. Although I did not finish everything I had hoped to, it gave me ample time to ponder whether or not I really want to carry some of these UFOs into the New Year.
The Lizzy Socks will be frogged because I really don’t like the yarn it is being knit with. The Iro Garter Scarf will be frogged because I don’t care for the pattern and Noro Iro is way too expensive to not like how it looks with the pattern you picked. The Central Park Hoodie will frogged because it ended up too large and because I’m just not a hoodie kind of girl. I found a modified CPH that I like even better and will, most likely, reknit it in the future using these modifications.
What will be carried over into 2009? All of these………………….
1. Cat Mitten Completed, 2. Inishmaan FRONT Completed, 3. Must Have Cardigan, 4. Alcea Waits for Neck Shaping
When will I work on them? On UFO Thursdays. That is, everything except Inishmaan which will be worked on every day until she is finished.
congratulations on getting through the whole 12 days without casting on!
The 4 WIP’s your sticking with are gorgeous and well worth the time.
Inishmaan is going to be amazing!!
St Brigit? Did I miss it somewhere…frogged, completed, or carried forth??? (OR you could send it to me!vbg)
Congrats on finishing everything – can’t wait to see what you do in 2009!
Those are going to be fabulous FOs when the time comes for each of them.
