In the rhythm of the needles there is music for the soul
I didn’t really think of this until I started taking photographs but my socks seem to have taken on a ‘patriotic’ color scheme this month. Is it obvious?
The Latvian Socks, from Folk Socks, is just about finished and I will post some specs when they are. Although the lace pattern is simplistic, the pattern itself utilized a few techniques that were new to me so this has been a learning experience for me. I’ll tell you more about it in the next post.
The red RICK sock is from Cookie A.’s new book, Sock Innovation. I’m knitting it for a Sock Innovation KAL over on Ravelry. I’ve learned a few new things knitting this sock, too. I tell you, Cookie is an absolute genius in her patterns. I think she has actually improved the way standard knitting techniques are done. I still have to cast on for the second sock soon before the dreaded SSS sets in. By the way, the Socks That Rock yarn that RICK is knit with is a pretty rockin’ yarn!
Yummy Yummy socks, love the look of that Cookie A one, and I loovee latvian’s too, some day soon i’ll have my own!
Those are so lovely! Regarding the square DPNs – do they feel odd at all to work with?
I love that red yarn….
These are all beautiful. I can’t wait to see the finished pairs! (Is that enough pressure for you?)
Wow – those are beautiful socks!
Gorgeous socks. They look great in solids. And very patriotic, indeed. 😉
How gorgeous, and how neat that you have this theme going!
Gorgeous socks & colors! You must have been very busy with all those knitting. I am currently on a sock break as I am addicted to little triangle shawls.
